Referral Questions
When exactly do I get paid?
There are two separate triggers. The £10 sign-up reward is released 7 days after your referred trader verifies their email and mobile number — the delay allows fraud checks to complete. The £50 funded reward is paid within 5 business days of your referred trader receiving their first funded payout. You can earn up to £60 total per referral. Rewards are valid on first registration and first evaluation only — if the same person purchases a second evaluation, no further reward is paid.
What verification does my referred trader need to complete?
To unlock the £10 sign-up reward, the referred trader must: (1) verify their email address via a confirmation link, (2) verify a UK mobile number via SMS code, and (3) register from a device and IP address not already associated with a HB Funded account. Without all three steps completed, the reward does not trigger.
Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?
No cap. Refer as many genuine traders as you like. Each verified referral earns you up to £60. HB Funded reserves the right to review accounts with unusually high referral volumes to verify authenticity.
Does the referred trader get anything?
Currently the reward goes to the referrer only. We may introduce a two-way reward in future — check back for updates.
Can I refer myself or create fake accounts?
No. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, and fake sign-ups are strictly prohibited. Referral rewards are also limited to one per referred person — first registration and first evaluation only. If a referred trader re-purchases after failing, no second reward is paid. We check IP addresses, device fingerprints, mobile numbers, and bank account details on payout. Any account found abusing the referral scheme will have all rewards forfeited and the account permanently suspended. All referral payouts over £100 cumulative are subject to identity verification (photo ID) before release.
What stops someone using a VPN or temporary number?
We flag registrations from known VPN and proxy IP ranges. Temporary or VoIP phone numbers are rejected during SMS verification — only genuine UK mobile numbers from registered networks are accepted. These checks run automatically at sign-up.
When are referral rewards cancelled?
Rewards are cancelled if: the referred trader's account is flagged for fraud or manipulation, the referred trader requests a chargeback on their evaluation fee, the sign-up is found to share a device, IP, or bank account with the referrer, or HB Funded determines in its reasonable judgement that the referral was not genuine. All decisions on referral eligibility are final.
